OK so my goal is 1200; when I added my execise it jacked back up to 1,100 even though I have eat around 500. Am I suppose to eat more calories when I work out?

So say I dont work out then its 1200...
If I do work out I replace how much I burned?

I am confused:huh:

    The site says you are supposed to...I dont personally and it works fine for me...but some do and it works for them as well..so try both ways ..and choose whats best for you.I started Jan 1 ...no plateaus so far and stick to 1200-1400 per day ..no matter what amount of excercise I get in.

    Yes if you burn 500 calories you can eat 500 more calories so 1500 for the day instead of 1200. I think 1200 is too low for me I am starving with that so I work out everyday pretty much so I can eat more.

    My goal is 1200 as well, and after I add in my exercise calories, it says I am back at 1200. I, for the most part, do not eat my exercise calories and it has been working fine for me. Sometimes, if I do, it will only be 100 or so over my original calorie goal of 1200. So, I eat between 1200-1300 calories a day including exercise calories, plus drinking my water. I have had no major problems.

    you'll lose either way, but your metabolism will burn more efficiently if you eat the calories you have earned through exercise. I have been, and in 7 weeks, 19 lbs lost. that's 5 lbs more than the "2 per week" I have been striving for.

    I think you might be right.. When I was my best lbs I wasnt even counting what I ate... and I ate alot more than now but I was also more active on my feet at work (part time) and worked out alot more. Yea I do intense cardio and strength training so I will eat more like it says b/c by the time I go home I find myself wanting to binge...................
  • I have a hard time getting all of my calories in everyday when I work out...I feel like I'm eating too much...I count my calories and pay attention to what I'm eating...but I don't force myself to eat all of my calories if I don't want them.

    If you eat your exercise calories, you will eat less in the long run. It helps avoid the late night cravings and the binges. It has worked for me and I maintain a loss of one pound a week. I don't feel deprived at all.
