Help! I am expected to be a food enabler!

My mother is not on board with my lifestyle change, and since I am home from college right now I have to deal with this daily. I can deal with her not caring enough about herself to change, but I can't handle her expecting me to buy and make her unhealthy foods while she makes my life hell because I want to be healthy. Have any of you experienced this? How have you dealt with it?

My mom is a bit that way. When I go home to visit her, I cook dinner and I pretty much tell her this is what gets put on the table if she doesn't like it well, she's free to make a sandwich...0

Yeah ^^ that. When you are doing the cooking, they can eat it or make their own. Let her whine like the child she is acting like, and continue to eat what YOU want. You're an adult, right?0

I'm sure all of us in one way or another with our parents (especially 30 somethings with aging folks) find that as the years go on, the roles reverse and we are now the parents and they're the kids -lol- My mom will be 70 years old in February and I swear sometimes she's worse than a 15 year old girl being told she can't go to the homecoming dance for bad grades.0

I make what I want and if my parents don't like it they can get their own. We usually have seperate meals anyway but if they can't be bothered to cook they usually have takeout which makes me feel better that I've distanced myself from that.0

It's hard for me when I do the family shopping and the other people in my family aren't dieting so I have to buy the pop and the cookies and chips.. Or when someone else goes and buys then and leaves them all sitting out tempting me. My brother came over last week and we got KFC, and even with grilled chicken the sides are soo fattening just bleh. I try to buy healthy stuff so like when they get their chips I can have my light lays chips which I was introduced to on these boards Taste the same, half the calories omg delicious XD
But yes it's VERY hard.0 -

I still eat healthy, aka the foods I want to eat, she just gets an attitude about it0
