The New Girl

Hey All!!
Thought I'd stop by and introduce myself (finally).
My name is Maggie, I'm the 'new girl' around here. I've been using the MFP app on my phone for quite some time, after finding it was much better than the app for my old website.
I'm a 25 year old girl about to switch off of two years of being a 3rd shifter (go night shift!) and looking forward to days! As anyone who has worked the night shift might tell you, those of us who work while the world sleeps are more prone to gaining weight. In my case, 50+ pounds of weight. Bleh.
I've been counting calories and doing workouts for a year now. Doing about 50% of my best effort and thinking I was doing well I quickly lost my first 40 pounds...but a plateau struck about 3-4 months ago and I've not lost more than 10 pounds since. Clearly it's time to give 100% of my effort to this cause!
And now for the obligtary run-down of my stats and goals :
SW: 255lbs
CW: 215.8lbs
GW:135lbs
To Go: 77.8lbs
Goal steps:
Drop out of the "morbidly obese" BMI--- completed June, 2011!!
190 lbs -- "The Driver's License" goal
165 lbs -- No Longer Obese!!
135 lbs--GOAL!

Thanks for all the welcomes!
I hope this time it sticks and I can do more than 50% of an effort. Luckily my boyfriend moved in with me this past month -- he's a CRAZY eater, but is very very supportive of my dieting. He'll get himself a giant bowl of ice cream and make sure I have a frozen banana or some yogurt so we both get sweet treats.
Here's to the people who support our efforts!0 -
late shifts are when i packed on the pounds myself. i can relate.
welcome and best wishes.0
