Why is it that when you're......

PISSED, motivation comes out of the woodwork? Or some corner of your "you know"?

You don't even have to be pissed at yourself or your weight, maybe it's about something else or someone else or something that's happening or happened to someone else....but you get pissed... (Granted I do have a small temper problem, but....)

Maybe I'm only speaking for myself (and I'm the only one who does this) but that makes me motivated to run, run like nuts (or walk).

I've no idea. Had a particularly frustrating day waiting for an important delivery that never arrived (resists urge to rant!), ran to the gym, worked out, ran back. Never done that before! Perhaps should get angry more often!

Bad day at work always leads to my fastest run times lol
  • Haha. Well, physical activity releases all those wonderful chemicals in your body that make you feel good. Maybe you just 'know' this and it's your bodies way of saying 'Why don't we do something so we can be happier again'. :-) Just a thought.

I love a good workout after a stressful day. Makes ME happy. :-)

I very rarely get angry, but if I'm truly pissed then a good run is the only thing I crave. So yeah, i feel yah.

I do my best drifting when I drive angry. The only problem is how fantastic it feels, so I can't stay angry and keep it up.

I totally agree with you actually. Im a pretty mellow person to begin with but just recently I had a bad break up with my boyfriend and best friend and I came home and I just ran like mad on the treadmill.....

Made me feel better thats for sure :)

I agree so much. I am so lazy when it comes to house work, then I get pissed and this place gets spotless.

Has anyone found that their response to "angry" situations is very different since their eating habits have changed? How many of us internalized anger and engaged in emotional eating and it was really to mask the anger…Now a trip to the gym, a good run or a particularly intense workout session is our choice. Or even expressing the anger… I know that is what has happened with me over the past year. Have people noticed the change? Some people experience it negatively, especially if they are the object of the anger. Anyone else experience that?
