Why don't you just buy whole eggs and hand separate them?

Use whole eggs. They are better for you because of the vitamins and minerals, and new studies show that they don't negatively affect cholesterol levels.

Do you have Costco there? I find them to be the least expensive.

I buy a case of 60 eggs from Wal-Mart for less than $3 US. At that price, the whites are cheaper than a pint of whites from Wal-Mart. In both cases, that's the lowest price in the U.S.

If you have an Aldi or Aldi-like store. I used to do the separation also, but didn't want to waste the yolks. I normally by my egg whites from Costco, but not sure if you have warehouse stores in the UK.

For the whole eggs folks above: a whole egg has almost as much fat as it does protein...if using it as a protein source, you'd have to consume a giant amount of fat calories to get a decent number of protein grams.

Like others have said. You can get 6 pints of egg whites at Costco for 8 or 9 dollars
