Super slow loser - looking for a weight loss buddy

Hi everyone! My name is Angie, and I've been a member of MFP for a couple of years now. I've logged calories on and off during that time, but haven't participated in the message boards until now.
To make a long story short, I have a chronic health condition called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, which makes it extremely difficult to lose weight. Actually, when I was at my sickest, I lost weight really fast without trying. Now that I'm more stable, it's much more difficult. I'm grateful to be doing better now, but I still need to take off the extra pounds.
I managed to lose 15 pounds last year, and I'd like to lose another 30 this year. I'm currently about 185 pounds, so my one-year goal would be 155 pounds.
Calorie counting works well for me, but I have to be motivated to do it. I'm hoping that having a weight loss buddy will provide the accountability I need to get going again. I realize that most people set much more aggressive weight-loss goals than mine, but hopefully motivation can still be a two-way street. Is anyone game?

I would love to add you...but HOW? The NFL interface doesn't seem very intuitive0

With type 2 diabetes and a slow thyroid I also lose slowly. Extreme diets make me drop lbs,but are hard to maintain. Slow and steady is the thing. I dropped 14 lbs in 2016 and have kept it off over a year. I want to loose around 70, so I chose 22lbs as my next goal.0

Sorry to hear about your health challenges, but I'm happy to meet someone else who loses weight slowly!
I just added you, so you should receive a friend request. To add people, I just click on the person's name and then click the name again on the next screen. Then click "Add As Friend" and then click "Add As Friend" again on the next screen. That's a lot of clicks, so maybe there's an easier way that I haven't found yet!0
