Everyday is a school day on MFP.
Just wondering what is this yo-yo effect that you refer to. HIt me up with the knowledge.

If you are posting info from another site you should post the link to that site.
Just passing along erroneous information does nobody any favours.

That's a very incomplete article, and the site has some really nonsensical articles on it. It does have some valid points; weight loss is really simple. The snag is their conclusion is a bit flawed.
Looking at their recommendations it's clear that there suggesting treadmill walking, rather than in the real world. Fwiw 4mph is quite an aggressive pace for most people.
Notwithstanding all of that, walking is very practical for the majority, and useful mobility exercise, particularly as an entry to fitness activities.3 -

This is not meant to be rude, but informational. This article is simply an opinion piece with no link to any source that would validate the information. It's also incomplete, as it mentions weight as a factor in calories burned, then never factors that into the rest of the article, which is why you're getting pushback on the calories burned.
When posting helpful or informational comments it's important to vet your sources to make sure there's at least some basis for the statements. Articles like this (authored by a generic "admin" in this case) are basically clickbait to get viewers to click on other links that will most likely be sales pitches.3 -

lmao...the day I burn 400 calories walking for an hour. I'd be lean as crap if that were true.2
