When Jenny Craig opened it's best thing was the high quality of its frozen food. Now its frozen food is small and too often bad. They are going t loose customers. The quality of the beef was bad and the few vegetables were pathetic. The same dinner with more vegetables would have been OK.
Over wight people need to perk of easy healthy dinners. Jenny Craig corporate wake up!

That sort of thing is one of many reasons I prefer to cook food from scratch.5

Those meals are expensive, too.
I submit that you (no one) needs pre-prepared meals. If you want beef burgundy (or merlot) fix it and freeze it. Cheaper, better, then make vegetables to order.
I haven't had a pre-prepared (as in boxed/frozen/pre-portioned) meal in at least ten years. So no, you don't need it.0 -
There is nothing wrong with frozen entrees. I've relied on them for years for quick lunches at the office, and they have been an important part of weight loss and maintenance for me. There are a lot of freezer options these days, and many brands have come a long way in terms of flavor and quality. I particularly like Amy's Organic, which can be found in most grocery stores these days, and Lean Cuisine has come a long way the last few years as well. There are also lots of brands that specialize in various diets such as low carb, vegetarian, vegan, etc. Every grocery store in my area has tons of options, and each store carries different brands and different items.
If frozen entrees are something you rely on regularly or even time to time, I'd recommend going to the grocery store and picking up a few different options to try and staying away from Jenny Craig if you are unhappy with their meals.7 -
I'd rather make large batches of my own pre-portioned, calorie-calculated freezer meals! I do a few big batches every Sunday then into the fridge and freezer they go. If you have a free afternoon once a week, it can be done quite easily.
I can't justify the price of store-bought freezer meals when I can make my own so cheaply.3 -
I tried Jenny Craig 20 years ago and the food was terrible then. Maybe you're looking back with rose coloured glasses.1
