I love butter on my toast in the morning, I use Country Crock Margarine 1 Tbsp is 70 calories and 70 fat calories-- is there a "healthier" butter or butter imitation?

I like the 0 calorie parkay spray butter. It tastes great!
  • I use I can't believe it's not butter in a spray bottle. Yummy

I recently started using I Can't Believe It's Not Butter lite, and I was really surprised at how good it tastes. 45 calories in a TBS and 5 grams of fat.

I use that spray also!! I really like knowing I'm not using any calories on my bread and it taste pretty good. I would of course rather have a tabl. of real butter on my muffin or bread, but sometimes you just have to sacrifice a little....
  • I used to love butter too but now I have completely cut it out. I have switched toast with butter to whole wheat cinnamon swirl toast with apple butter. It's a really good alternative with less calories.

MMM another good one is Pumpkin Butter! Don't really know about the calories but it tastes great. Haven't had any since I started MFP but hoping to can my own this fall!

According to one of my fitness magazines, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light is the best butter substitute so that's what I buy. It's made from natural things, is lower calorie than butter, has less fat, and tastes pretty good. I also like Smart Balance Heart Right Light.

i still prefer real butter. i just use less of it. and unsalted if you are watching sodium. the two of us use about one stick every 2 weeks.

People! People! Stop eating that processed crap!!! You are depressing me greatly :(

Use BUTTER. I love Kerrygold Irish butter. It comes wrapped in gold foil and it is in a league of its own.

I use real butter, it's the best health option, and it tastes great!! I eat it sparingly though.
