No really, I am asking.

It is outlandish considering my current carb intake % hangs around 50?
...is anyone out there with both a super low-carb diet and a strong will to live?! :D

Has anyone found success in low-carb dieting?

Cheers,

Kayla.

    Of course it is.

Is it sustainable for you though? That's the question.

That’s what I mean to bring across.
How practical / sustainable is the diet?

Even on Atkins the 20g carb goal is only for Induction, and not considered a long term way of eating. There's only so much green leafs you can eat for the rest of your life :D

I'm sure there are people who would be happy with it though.

Unless you eat offal I struggle to see how you can get all the nutrients your body needs.

The 20g of carbs is easily attained, been eating Keto/Atkins style for 8-9 months and am down 75 lbs so far. It’s certainly different than any diet I’ve tried in the past, but the fats & proteins take so much longer for the body to process, I don’t struggle with being hungry all the time. That has been a huge issue for me in the past with many different diets.

it is possible, I did it for 6 months. it's hard but it gets way easier. HOWEVER i did gain the weight back when i went off atkins. i lost a lot of weight very quickly, super low carb is great if you don't mind eating a lot of meat, cheese, eggs and salad. i myself and following the basic principals of the DASH diet this time around, in the hopes that I will just develop better eating habits by making better choices eating whole grains less meat, healthy fats and lots of fruit and veggies. it will be slower but i feel its the best way for me to keep it off.

The lack of vegetables would make me sad. Definitely not sustainable for me, or necessary for success...
