Fast Food Manager breaking the Chain

Hello! I’m Denise. I’m 21 from New York and I’m a newly promoted manager at Taco Bell. Not only do I hate the job, but I hate the weight I put on doing it. Stress is not even all of the reason. Depression adds to it. Laziness is a good other one. All I know is I have a lot of weight to lose and I don’t really want to face it alone!

Welcome Denise! Congratulations on the promotion. I suffer from depression and severe anxiety (agoraphobia) and know full well the troubles you are going through.
If you are facing multiple stressors in your life I would suggest starting off slow like replacing one bad thing in your life each day/week and go form there. Just the factor of eating nutrient dense foods will improve your state of mind and your body will thank you for it.
When you remain consistent with eating good wholesome food and sticking below your calorie budget you will start to feel amazing and will probably even enjoy your job! The main thing though is to not be too hard on yourself. Have the odd treat each day, but fit it into your calories. You will find lots of encouraging and helpful people here so, enjoy your stay and shred the fat and depression!

When I was on here the 1st time, I was working at Burger King, so I know how hard it can be in that environment, while trying to reach your goals.
When I worked longer shifts and I had the meal discount, I would try to limit myself to salads. Or if I wanted fries or a burger it would be a value fry, and just a simple burger. Since we had free soda, I tried to stick with just drinking water.
