What are some positives about winter?

Based on some of the threads, it looks like a lot of us have the winter blues... I live in the southeastern USA, so I know I have no right to complain about the cold decreased amount of daylight (though it going in the other direction now, yay!) in comparison to a lot of others on here, but still, winter is still definitely my least favorite season and I catch myself complaining about the cold a lot.
So, I thought it would be fun if we list some of the things we actually like about winter - silly and funny things are definitely allowed - to help lift our moods.
I'll go first...
1) it's a great time to catch up on Netflix binging while the weather has u not wanting to get outside
2) my newly discovered favorite fruit, Moro blood oranges are in season (they are a blood red/purple color and taste like a cross between oranges and strawberries)
3) no grass to cut
4) since we are in no way prepared for snow around here, a lot of us get out of work when it does snow, even just light dustings
5) I no longer feel weird for eating chili every week

    I like to ski...though this year has sucked...hardly any snow.

    ETA: I also like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years...and winter is my slowest time of year at work...summer is brutal in regards to work load...can't even take a vacation.

    No winter where I live, but I guess people sweat a lot less in the cooler months.

    It's the time of the year I get to use my kotatsu. The only thing better is that feeling when it's freezing and you snuggle under the blankets with the dog as a mini heater.

    It gets HOT where I am so usually shorts which doesnt have the same affect.

    My fireplace, hot chocolate and fleece leggings. But most of all, I like walking my dog in the snow. She is a hound and constantly has her nose to the ground. It's fun in the snow because I can actually see the tracks of the animals whose scent she is sniffing. Silly, I know, I guess my life is just not that exciting!

    Having a white Christmas. That always makes me happy. Anything Christmas. I love Christmas. :)
