Garmin Connect & MFP

Hello my fellow Fitness Pals,
I recently entered a calorie in/out schedule and I would like to track food, exercise and everything.
I'm running for years, but not with a special effort, just to relax. I own a Garmin Fenix3 watch with heart rate strap.
I log all my exercises and strength training. My issue is the sync between the GC and MFP apps.
All my calorie intake goes from MFP to GC just right. The opposite is the problem.
GC to MFP. MFP app reads only step projection calories, not the exercise calories.
So I have totally different values regarding calories in/out and exercise (only steps projection on MFP)
I've tried force syncing, to disable and re-enable sync between apps. I don't know what else to try.
Thanks in advance.

I’ve had the occasional issue but generally disconnecting and reconnecting sorts it out.
What exercise are you doing? I found MFP can’t handle a multi-sport activity and just added the calories burned to my step activity rather than creating a separate cardio entry.0 -
Ditto on Mr. B's reply, although there are occasionally "blips" in how these two talk to each other. For a couple weeks in Jan I wasn't getting entries in the news feed for Garmin workouts, even if the exercise showed up in the diary. There was another multi-week "blip" in the last 24 months where nothing was going from Garmin to MFP.
This seems to be a prett popular combo so try googling and you'll often see a message on the MFP support site that "we're aware of the problem and working on a fix."
I have a Fenix 5X (used to have F3 and HR strap) and everything works as expected, with calories IN always entered in MFP and calories BURNED always recorded via Garmin.0
