Hi Everyone, I'm 5'2 30 years old and starting my weight loss journey again at 154.2 pounds. I have two small children and have put on a lot of weight during my pregnancies. I've already lost 13 pounds since my last pregnancy but I want to get back down to around 120. I would love to hear success stories from other moms! I have been feeling like getting the weight off after my pregnancies has been SO much harder then before. Looking forward to seeing your success stories!

Hi and welcome back! 35 yo mom of 3 here. I restarted my journey after my 3rd child was about 1. Was 164lbs and at 5'5" that was a bit much for me to carry around. This time around though I wanted to do something a bit different from just cardio and classes. I stepped out of my comfort zone and downloaded Stronglifts 5X5 because I kept hearing that weight training was the best way to lose weight and get fit. So after about a year, I can say that I am in the best shape of my life. Gaining muscle is a game changer! I dont look ripped by any means but I am tighter and things just fit better. I also stopped paying so much attention to the scale and really focused on my gains in strength and endurance. I didnt completely cut out cardio, I did 3 days of the stronglifts and 2-3 days of treadmill running for about 30 mins. I'm down to 138 (which seems heavy but it's actually the muscle) and a size small/4. Ive NEVER been that tiny. I still feel like I need to pinch myself sometimes lol. I've said all that to say this: YOU CAN DO THIS! Its a journey and it should be fun and full of discovery. If you start resenting your workouts try something different. Get ready to be in the best shape of your life.11

You can do it @agiuliano87! You ladies all look fantastic!1

I’m not done yet. Your starting weight is in my goal territory lol but I’m only 5’4. I’ve had 7 full term pregnancies and 2 miscarriages all causes weight gain. Gained 100 with my 1st so I have been working that off since then. Lol
Delivered baby 7 on Sept 25 2016 at 255ish. Started back on MFP on Nov 12th 2016 at 236. Currently sitting at 179.
Consistency is key. I don’t even exercise much. Congrats on the babies.

I'm a mom of 2 (3yrs and 6yrs). Both of my kiddos were C-section deliveries. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't gained a little of what I lost back (only about 20 lbs) over the past year and a half. I'm back on track now and it's coming back off.

The first pic isn't actually at my heaviest. I delievered my last 2 babies 32lbs heavier and my highest non-pregnant weight I hovered at for a while was was 28lbs heavier!!! This was just the most recent progress pic I put together....
First off, congrats on losing 13lbs! Thats a fantastic start! Baby weight takes time but you are doing great so far3 -

OP your stats are almost exactly mine from when I started on MFP in Feb 2013, at 5'2 and around 153 lbs, and am now in maintenance at ~118 lbs. It took me about a year to lose the 25 lbs I wanted to lose, and then I kept losing very slowly after transitioning to maintenance.
I have two boys, ages 9 and 6 now but they were 5 and 2 when I started. I work full time and have a desk job, but average about 12K steps/day (especially in winter) and do light circuit training. I lost most of my weight eating b/w 1600-1900 cals and my TDEE now (winter) is around 2100. When the weather gets warmer I usually average 15K steps a day and my TDEE goes up to around 2300.
Heaviest Non-Pregnancy Weight (~153)
July 2015 Moved Officially To Maintenance (~122 lbs)
Dec 2017 Current (~118 lbs)

I'll be 32 next month and have a 4 and 1 year old. I was 165 lbs and a size 14 when I got pregnant with my first, and realized I needed to get healthy and lose the weight that was causing my blood pressure to go up. Made it down to 120 lbs thanks to MFP. (Almost there again after #2/regaining 10 lbs last year)
Good luck! Take it one day at a time. Congrats on your progress so far!5 -
Bumping this page for inspiration whenever I need. Good job mamas, wonderful transformation.1

Hello!
I started out in December 2016 at 155lb 5'2" 32 yrs old and my daughter was 16 months old.
When I got pregnant I was 139lb, got up to 167lb then the baby weight never really totally fell off once I had her. I lost some weight, but was struggling with not getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight, ideally I wanted to be even lower than that.. but that was my first goal. I started casually counting, not weighing anything or even logging every day.. just kind of easing in to it and no exercise yet. By the Spring I was down only 10lb, so I kicked it into high gear and started logging and weighing myself daily, bought a food scale and used it as often as possible. I also added walking to my routine, I'd walk Monday-Friday for about 20 minutes on my lunch break, then walk after dinner 4-5 days a week with my daughter for 30 minutes. It started falling off much quicker! I flew past my pre-pregnancy weight by July and kept on going. I'm currently in maintenance mode weighing in at 127-129lb until the weather changes and I can get out moving again. My ultimate goal was 128lb, I hit that in 10 months time. Now I'd like to see 125lb.. it's slow going that I have so little left to lose, but I know I'll get there eventually.
Best of luck to you, it can be done!

35 yo mom of 2 girls, 3.5 and 16 months. 5'5", highest non-pregnancy weight was 183.
Lost 40ish pounds and got pregnant with #1, gained 53 lbs.
Lost back down to pre-pregnancy but fluctuated 5-10 lbs for a few months.
Got back down to 145 the day I found out I was pregnant with #2, gained 25-30lbs with her.
She is now 16 months and I am around 160 now. I would really like to lose the rest of this weight and a little more, goal weight is around 125-130.0 -
