if anything, its the opposite. android actually has more functions than apple users. i messaged MFP tech support in regards to this, and they said one of the coders is an avid android user so he took it upon himself to add coding to this app to make it easier for android users. they said apple prob wont get the same treatment

Oh I wasn't aware of this! Maybe the features I have are better but I didn't realise :) will have to hunt an apple user down and compare hahaha

I am also not happy that I can't add photos in the forums. Probably best though. Then I would be seriously and permanently mired in the threads

These are all the options we have on the Android app.

However, if you log in through your mobile browser like I am now you can post pictures. I use chrome and have the options below:

out of curiosity, how does the forum look through android? can you take a screen shot so we can compare?

for apple we are able to upload photos on the forum, but we cannot share photos through personal posts ( android can )

I can take a screenshot. But I can't post it to show you :') there isn't a camera or post photo option for us.

I'm not surprised to read this...I suspected this was the case, after using the iPhone for a long time and then switching to Android. It's so much better!

I wish you could close your diary, though...that seems like a major bug since your diary is supposed to be a core thing for MFP? :D

I'm surprised they don't fix that.
better is subjective in my opinion. i had both, and pretty technologically inclined. from experiences i think they both have their strengths and weakness so at the end of the day its all about preference. to me apple does everything more smoothly than android does, and syncs everything better, but android is more open source so theres way more options to fiddle around with.

what do you mean close your diary? completing it whenever you are done for the day?

Oh I love the iphone itself, it's just that MFP flat out would not load and refresh. Originally, it worked fine and I did like the layout.

My phone was older, an iphone 5...and I still have it and love it for certain things. Ergonomic and fits in one hand easily. Great for garage band and some music stuff I like.

When I decided I was ready for a new phone, I almost bought the new iphone and was about to check out when I realized they got rid of the regular headphone port.

So, on a whim I tried out a Galaxy and really like it...MFP ran so much faster. But, also a newer phone not just different OS. I also paid for MFP to get rid of ads and get more into nutrition specifics this year.

Perhaps that also makes it go faster.

But in regards to close your diary...I mean 'complete this day' which posts to your page. For some reason, this doesn't seem to work in the Android app...at least, not for me.

I haven't tried it recently, though. I close it from the web client.

I can definitely close/complete my day on my diary. That might be a bug for your iPhone unfortunately :(

I like the app better for logging food but visit the forums with a regular web browser.
