I'm in for this month. I don't plan on completely abstaining but I know I need to drink less to meet my weight loss goals. I want to drink only 2-3 days a week.10

I'm in too. I haven't decided on a goal yet, but I will sticking with moderation at the least. Also in because I like following this thread!5

I’m in too, I’ll be carrying on as in Jan, almost totally dry, literally had 2 glasses of wine in January. Thanks for starting the thread!6

I'm up for this. I'm about to start an anti-anxiety medication that requires me not to drink at all, and I am not happy about it. Still, I'll take sanity over booze.16

I am in, trying to figure out moderation. Aiming to be dry from now until Feb 9th as the first goal and then go from there.7

I am in!!! I got superbowl, my grandson's bday (alcohol incl), a play with my cousin. I plan to be AF the whole time!!!!6

Count me in! I enjoy my daily glass(es) of wine but my progress is slow. Worst thing is that I'm drinking the calories that I've been burning each day through exercise! Gotta stop - not worth. Looking forward to supporting everyone and learning ways to kick this habit from all of you.9

I stumbled upon this thread and it came at the perfect time for me. I've been thinking for the last week or two about how this is something that I felt was causing a problem for me.
I don't feel I need to cut out all alcohol completely, but I do feel like I need to save drinking for occasions that merit it and keep it to only a couple drinks at those events. There's no point in drinking a bottle of wine over Tuesday dinner at home with my husband.12 -
Im in.. hopfully this month will be a better month. I know alcohol is the key to my weight gain so im going to quit it till im back into my skinny clothes. ( size 10) i joined the big losers as well, hopfully thats going to help also with this mth.
Last mth i joined on the 6 th and i slipped up once, thanks to the awesome support i got im stil in.The urge isnt as bad as it used to be. Ive got used to telling everyone ill have lemon in soda. Im finding its detoxing, which is a bonus. Im starting to feel great. Thanks guys for this team.5 -

I'm in - I was a stalker on the January thread and found it very encouraging. Definitely impressed with all the positive energy and support. I know I have one night out planned in Feb. but other than that would like to avoid it to keep loosing and getting in shape. Feels good to have a clear head on Monday mornings.9

Working in the service industry, it's hard sometimes to turn down almost nightly post-shift drinks with the coworkers! Trying to keep it down to 2-3 nights a week this month.8

Hi! I'm in again for February for less alcohol like January has been! Not abstaining completely, just more moderately.8
-
I am in. This is exactly what I need to lose a few pounds.
We can do this!5 -
Will be joining in this challenge for Dry February. I’m trying to think of another way to say dry February though. Any suggestions?3

I drank 8 days in January which is way better than what I was doing before (3-5 times per week) but would still like to drink once per week or less. Hoping I can learn how to moderate when I drink, otherwise I'm quitting altogether. Looking forward to February!6

I'm in! I did bookmark and read every post for January. It has helped me a lot. A huge thanks to all that shared their experiences. I read This Naked Mind and plan on reading a few others mentioned in the January thread. I was able to cut down from my daily wine drinking considerably but would like to figure out how to be totally dry as I don't like how I feel when drinking so much. Part of the issue is that I am surrounded by drinkers and drinking in the sport that I do. Just about everyone drinks after the competition hours are over so it is pretty hard not to partake. But, I absolutely do not need to be drinking nightly at home. I have a champagne problem, lol!
