I'm 110 pounds overweight. I know the scale said 250, but I still deceived myself. Then I saw pictures of myself and I could see I'm much bigger than then what I see in the mirror. Much older looking. Pr 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; But the kisses of an enemy are profuse.

Many people don't know how to talk about it with loved ones or they're worried about making things worse by potentially hurting your feelings and damaging the relationship.
Are you wanting to lose some weight now? There are some great tools here and a community of people to help out.6 -

Disciple means to be disciplined. To be His disciple, you need to be disciplining yourself in all areas.9

First, learn to give yourself room to have made mistakes to get tot the point you are. EVERYONE here is here because of the same errors and issues (or sin of gluttony for your reference). So a little self-forgiveness and appreciation for the path your chose and have taken is important. You need to accept this is where you are. Then you need to be positive that you are ready for the changes and will make them.
You got this, and that will honor the creation you are.

Hugs to you friend. Remember you are wonderfully and fearfully made. I had forgotten that I am wonderfully made and should have been taking care of the body God gave me and deceived myself into thinking I was just fine until I hit 233 lbs a little over a year ago. Now, I am 62 lbs down and have repeated to myself over the past year one of my favorite verses.
Philippians 4:13 (NIV) I can do all things through him who gives me strength.
Best wishes to you and the courage and strength that comes along with the endeavor it takes to love yourself as Christ loves you.
You've got this!

Make sure you're weighing everything you eat accurately, too - those calories can sneak in. Proverbs 11: "Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight"15

OP chooses to lean on their faith during this time of recognizing that they need to make some changes for the sake of their health.
I think that’s awesome.
OP, I’m praying that God gives you the strength, hope and determination to stick with it all the way.
If you want to learn as much as you can to be successful (whatsoever your hands find to do, do it heartily as to the Lord), check out the stickied posts. Buy a food scale and start weighing all solid foods and measuring all liquids (eyeballing is hugely inaccurate for most people). Log everything and be patient with the process.25 -

I feel God as well as his Son have a sense of humor and humor is what gets us thru the hardest of instances in life. You can choose to laugh as yourself and carry on or you can be frozen in indignation!
OP the Lord has lead you.....take the reigns and carry on.4
