How often do you weigh?

I was just wondering how often everyone weighs. I’m weighing once a week. As long as I’m hitting my weekly goal, I’m not stressing. I know the big numbers will come!!

Twice a week... usually Wednesday and Saturday in the morning before getting dressed, before food and after going to the bathroom

Every day. It usually helps motivate me to hit the gym before I go to work. I take off my nightwear, weigh, and put on my workout clothes.

Once a week on saturday morning.....dont wish to be compulsive which only would make me crazy! Trends are not important where weight loss is my goal.

Twice a day. Once right after I get out of bed, and once after exercise while naked. Both in the morning before I eat.

I know it's overkill, but I like doing it.

Every day after I b get up and pee and not eaten anything ...that way if I gained I know what food to stay away from or do better it helps keep me going down 35.6lbs and 67 lbs more to go!!!

Every morning, after business, before consuming anything. I have a Withings/Nokia Body+ scale, so I like seeing the graph on their site. Weighing more often than that gets pointless and it's the most controlled time of day.

Like many others, every morning and use a weight trending app. Sometimes I sneak a peek before bed for a preview  If you don't obsess over the numbers, they just become a bunch of interesting little data points.

Twice a day ... I am fascinated by how weight changes dependant in food intake, nutrients, stress, exercise, injury, temperature etc etc

For instance did you know ... or care

Typically once a week on Saturday after waking up... Although I just got a new scale and I've been slightly obsessed with it weighing a couple times a day lol

Every morning, and track it on HappyScale. When I weighed once a week, it became an Event and I obsessed. Now it's just data points, as pinuplove said, and useful to see how things are going over the longer term.

I was weighing every 1-2 weeks or even less, and only recording downward changes. Started using HappyScale a week ago and now I'm weighing daily - using a trend smoother like HappyScale does change your attitude toward normal fluctuations, and I recommend smoothing apps to those who are daily weighers who also find themselves getting discouraged by the fluctuations.

I completely agree with the above posters about HappySale. I weigh myself every day, and I used to only track losses. But then I would be frustrated all day if I saw a gain that morning. HappyScales has helped me to know that is a normal part of the process and I can be happy no matter what numbers show up. It also helps my husband and I stay accountable and we cheat a lot less this way :).

I've always weighed in daily and when I'm actually losing, sometimes more than once a day. I log it into my fitbit app.

I'm a little different than others in this thread. I weigh once or twice a month, as close to the same point in my monthly cycle as I can manage. I can do this because I trust the process and have things pretty dialed in, but the fluctuations were driving me a bit bonkers. I'm usually a numbers geek, but on this one thing I prefer to have less information rather than more. Always interesting to see how different things work for different people.

Every morning and track it on my fitbit app. I log it here once a week on a Saturday morning. I just like data and spotting trends.
  • once a day do not check in until 3 days at same weight loos

I weigh every morning but I only log every 7-10 days. My weight fluctuates a lot based on where I am in my cycle so logging daily would be too discouraging but I like seeing how the previous day's choices are affecting me.
