Pizazz, Energy, & Enthusiasm

Hi there,

I'm a forty-something female looking to add some pizazz, energy, and enthusiasm to her life. I'm interested in meeting people with similar intentions so that together we can provide each other with mutual support, encouragement, and accountability. Would that be you?

My food diary is set to public view in case you're interested, and yes, I do take a lot of supplements! I typically pre-plan my meals the night before, which is why my food diary is all filled out already so early in the day.

I'm presently a patient at a medically supervised weight loss clinic. My "diet prescription" has pretty rigid demands: a daily caloric allowance of 1100 calories (I generally exceed that amount, largely in part to my fiber supplement), a minimum protein intake of 89 grams, low-fat food choices, and meals/snacks within an hour of waking/then every 2-3 hours/and an hour before bed. It's pretty rigid and a large amount of what I eat is pre-packaged, protein-fortified food items that they sell (yes, I have issues with eating so much processed diet junk food with so little fruits and veggies - but for now I have to stick with this plan due to my husband being upset with me because I've waffled back and forth between diet plans so much).

I'm going to be really honest - I am very sedentary - some of it is related to fatigue from an autoimmune disorder, some of it is due to medication-induced drowsiness, and a lot of it stems from laziness. I have some physical limitations (back, neck, and shoulder issues) that I am under medical supervision for, so some activities are contraindicated. Sadly, my gym does not have a pool for me to engage in swimming or water aerobics (everyone suggests water aerobics and/or swimming to me) and I am terribly afraid of water critters that reside in lakes and rivers. Ok, enough of the excuses. Moving on.

I don't know when I established my account, but today is my first day of actually using it. I'm 5'3" and as of today I weigh 164 pounds. My goal weight is 125-130 pounds, but more than that, I'm interested in getting healthier - lowering my cholesterol and triglycerides, reducing inflammation, sleeping better, and increasing my energy. If I happen to look better, I'll take that, too.

I hope someone replies!

P.S. I am so on top of things...I am guessing due to an input error on my part, my home page states I've already lost 18 pounds. And so soon! I'm so stoked.

I am 38 and the same height and around the same weight as you (163 at the moment). I also have an auto-immune disorder. I do a low carb/ketogenic diet so my diary probably won't be very useful for you, but if you'd like to add me for support and accountability that would be great!
