Weight loss after baby! Anyone else out there!?

Hey fellow Mommies!!

Sooooo, weight loss after pregnancy is interesting lol. Lost all of my baby weight quickly, but 8 months later I can't seem to not look bloated and like I'm in early pregnancy. This is regardless of what I do. I weight the same as I did before, but certainly don't look like it!!! I am at the higher end of weight for my height (5'2'' and 133 pounds).

Anyone else in the same boat? Anyone do something that worked to get rid of this little ponch ? I would like to wear jeans again and not feel uncomfortable.

I've been doing low carbs/high protein and healthy fats since September (of course, with the odd treat), I work out 5-6 times a week for minimum 30 minutes and sometimes I even do 2 workouts. My husband is a Kinesiologist and he assists me with workout plans and my diet.

Is this just a fate that we have to live with now? I guess I am a bit spoiled... I have never had this issue before so it's really bothering me. Nothing is helping!

Hoping for some support and motivation here as I find when I tell people in person they basically tell me to stop complaining because I've always been fit etc etc.

Anyway, better go feed the little guy lunch!

Thanks in advance...
A sad Mommy :(

Have you been evaluated by a doctor for diastasis recti? Saying you feel like you still look pregnant makes me wonder if perhaps that's what you have going on as abdominal separation due to pregnancy contributes to that early pregnancy look. If so, there are some exercises that can help with mild cases of it but it's good to see a doctor and have them examine the severity of it and possibly refer you to a physical therapist. For severe cases, the only treatment is surgery. I've had five kids (several of whom were huge babies) and I'm 5'1" and have it. It never goes away completely but gets better with good shapewear.

Hi! I e-mailed for an appointment request. I also researched how to do the self test and also got my husband to do it too... I am certain that is what it is. I can feel the muscles close in on my fingers. OMFG I am FREAKING OUT right now. :(:(:(

Don't freak out! It's pretty common among short ladies because we have shorter torsos and baby really doesn't have anywhere to go but OUT and our abdominal muscles have to make room. I'm sure your doctor will provide guidance to get you on the path to improving it if that ends up being what's going on.
