Does anyone else find it very inconvient that almost everything in My Fitness Pals database has the potassium content incorrectly input as zero?

I am trying to track my potassium intake, but am struggling because it’s exhausting. I have to go into “my foods” every time to input what I am eating to ensure it actually has the potassium content input in addition to everything else.

Is there an easier way to do this?

    Potassium is not required to be listed on nutrition labels, so many manufacturers don't bother putting it on there.

    The only "easy" way (which is actually harder) is to look everything up in the USDA database, create your own MFP database entries and use them exclusively.

    Thanks for the reply. Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing. Looking it up online. Oh well! Gotta do what you gotta do.

    Try creating an entry in My Foods called "Potassium" and set it to something easy to multiply or divide like 100mg and log it in addition to the food that has it incorrectly listed as 0. That way you can enter exactly how much is in everything you're eating without creating a new food every single meal/snack.

    Might save you some time. That's what I do with sodium right now because I'm trying to watch my salt.
