Specific exercise suggestions?

I am looking to tone/tighten my stomach. I would like it to be flat (wouldn't we all) and not necessarily have a 6-pack, but I don't oppose to some definition. I am just curious, does anyone have any specific workouts that have worked for them or would be good for this?

Please don't respond with, "you can't spot reduce," "you must just workout everything," I'm not looking to spot reduce. I will workout everything. But this is my specific goal.

Any thoughts?

Some folks find success doing compound movements that engage your core, such as squats and deadlifts.

Personally, I found Ab Ripper X from P90X, 3-4x per week, to be very helpful from an aesthetic standpoint.

Flatness is typically determined by BF% (diet) and skin laxity. Definition is determined by the muscle. I suggest weighted ab circuits. I like to do the following three times in a row on all upper body days:
    Crunch
    Weighted double crunch
    Scissor kick crunch
    Straight leg v-up

I also like to do a circuit on the cable machine which is as follows:
    Cable crunch
    Oblique twist

You can’t spot reduce, it requires a deficit along with a surplus to develop abdominal muscles. My personal favourites are hanging leg raises and ab rollouts.

I had good results using 30 day shred, Ripped in 30, The firm Super cardio mix, and Denise Austin 3 week boot camp(the first DVDs I tried when losing weight). I also ran outside or on the treadmill. I lost a lot of fat. Then I started weight training. Full body compound lifts. Basically, losing the fat off your belly comes from losing weight/fat and getting to a lower bf%. You will get more definition by having lower bf% and working the muscles enough that they "pop" a little. Low muscle tone will not give much definition, even with a lower bf, but your tummy may still be flat.
