Asked a ton, but am I doing this right?

I’m so sorry to post another ‘am I doing this right’, but just need some assurance that I’m not sabotaging myself or doing something that will hinder progress. I’m ok if it’s slow progress so if you all say this is great and keep on keeping on, fabulous . I’d rather do this smarter than harder.
I’m 45, 5’4, starting weight at 170lbs. No medical conditions and no restrictions. I also take no meds outside of vitamins from Hammer. I work full time, but from home so try to not sit a full day.
I have calorie intake set to 1400. I like to jog so try to do that daily when weather permits. I never go more than 2 days without some form of exercise. I don’t always eat all the exercise calories back, but will if I’m hungry. I also try to stay away from processed carbs and foods with added sugar. I find I feel way better when restricting those.
I appreciate opinions and open for tweaking if necessary. My diary is open if you want to take a peak and have any suggestions.

Sounds good. What is your goal? Lose 1 pound a week? 1.5?
Be sure to eat plenty of veggies and fruits (that you like), and don’t necessarily cut out any favorite foods either -just figure out ways to make it healthier.1 -
It’s set for 1.5 lbs a week. This week, I had no weigh loss and gained a half pound. I’m not really frustrated but wondered if I might need to change something I’m doing.
I also indulge occasionally with a treat or small candy if I am under a significant amount of calories on an exercise day. I’ve got quite a few yummy treat recipes that use almond/coconut flour and coconut sugar. I certainly don’t feel like I’m missing any treats or yummy foods0 -
It seems like you're way over thinking this. Eat at a deficit, move a little more and give it time. The stress is likely to cause you more problems than anything at this point.2

Took a quick look at your diary. Are you weighing as much food as possible? That will increase the accuracy of your calorie count.
As @ladyhusker39 noted above, "give it time". Some patience is needed for this process. Weight loss is not linear for most people, even when their calorie intake is correct. You're on the right track, in my view.1 -
Yes. I weigh/measure as much as possible.
I agree that I’m likely just overthinking it. I appreciate your thoughts.0 -

Good on the weighing/measuring. Proper portion sizes were an eye-opener for me.
And check in here regularly. I found the community on this site to be very helpful. Keeps me on track on those days when I want to eat ALL. THE. FOODS.1 -
Oh. Yes. I’ve had those days when I want everything and nothing seems to help.0

It can be frustrating when you stick to a diet and exercise regime and don’t see the weight fall off. I’m just hoping if I keep at it the weight will start to go. I’m 18 days in and go to the gym everyday doing cardio and weights. Barely lost any weight1
