Hi guys,
I've made a determined decision this year to shift the weight that I need to lose. so on the 2nd January, i made the decision to do it.
I'm 41, 5ft 7", and my starting weight was 198lbs.
I am going to Switzerland on a 6-day mountain biking holiday, and I need to lose the weight and improve general core fitness to a reasonable level.
I started with a resting heart rate of 79 and its now down to 60.
I've also reduced my weight so far to 185.2lbs which I'm calling a 13lb lost (I'm sure nobody will grudge me the 0.2)
I've logged everything religiously and honestly, logged everything for 36 days in a row, and have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
The weight doesn't seem to be coming off so fast anymore, in fact, it doesn't seem to be coming off, and I am loathed to reduce my calorie intake any further to the 1890 calories I limited myself to every day. I've been stuck at 185 lbs for
I'm exercising 4 or 5 days per week, for a minimum of 30 mins each day, a typical week at the gym etc will look like
Monday, Wednesday, Friday
run 30 mins as part of C25K app, (I'm currently on week 5 , day 2 as of tomorrow)
cycle for 30 mins - I normally get around 8 miles done
lift weights for 15 mins normally upper body only, as the running and cycling seem to take care of leg muscles.
Sundays I go out with my friends for a cycle this will normally be a 3-5 hour session somewhere and I've been doing that for 2 years, sometimes its local short miles, sometimes its longer miles.
this also doesn't take into consideration the time I spend playing with my son and going to the swimming etc...... on a Saturday
any ideas why the weight isn't coming off, my macro intake normally sits at approx
44% carbs, 30% protein, and the rest is fat and others.
I'm open to suggestions, or is this a normal situation and the weight will start coming off again as I work more and more?

Have you tried implementing HIIT training?0

do you weight your food? eyeballing and even measuring can be way off.so what you think is 1890 calories could be more like 2300+1

Hold on....that's 13lbs lost in 36 days! that's freaking awesome especially as you aren't much overweight. 1 to 1.5lbs a week should be your aim for healthy loss. Use a trending weight app as weight loss isn't linear and you'll see that the overall progress is downwards. Be patient and trust the process because it works.0
