Hi the app keeps telling me I am not eating enough. I am vegetarian eat mostly veggies and no processed foods. I have added breakfast to my diet to eat more but don’t see how I could eat enough in a normal day to meet the recommended intake. Maybe this app isn’t for me.

Is your goal to lose, gain or maintain weight? Is what you're doing now, leading you in the direction of your goal? "Mostly veggies" can be interpreted in many different ways. So can "processed foods". No matter your chosen WOE, you have to eat balanced. If you use your food diary, and track macros, you can see if you're eating balanced, or if you need to eat more or less of something.2

you don't have your diary open so no one can see what you're eating, that is even if you track. Vegetarians also get on this site...I have a hard time believing that a vegetarian that eats NO processed foods would have any issues with weight.0

So how many calories ARE you eating?0
-
I am a vegan and I get the 3000 kcal each day so it is possible. Personally I eat peanut butter from bodylab to get the protein and fat up.
But you are vegetarian so eat some paste and fish and you are good to go.
The biggest problem for us skinny guys is that we dont feel like eating so we find a small problem and blame that for not eating. If you really wanna change and eat more
you will find a way. But only if you keep track and improving yourself.
I usually say:
Train more ---> Eat more ----> Be more

Nuts are pretty calorie dense and they're definitely not processed. So are oils and and grains if they're counted as "not processed" (unsure what the OP means by that; everyone has their own definition). Fruit can get pretty easy to overeat on if it's cooked. Drinking full fat milk. All sorts of ways to get extra calories in!
OP, if you're not comfortable opening your diary maybe copy a day or two into this thread for suggestions? How long have you been doing this?0 -
Well, here's a couple things to chew on . . .
1. If you are looking to lose weight - which is how you got into here - it's highly unlikely you aren't eating enough to meet the caloric requirements. If you ate enough calories to gain the weight, you are able to consume that many calories . .. so my thought is you are probably eating more than you think you are.
2. You eat mostly veggies and no processed foods? What do you consider processed? What do you eat in a day? Can you give an example of your meal plan?
3. How long have you been following this way of eating?1 -

Why? Even vegetarians who don't eat processed foods have plenty of calorie-dense foods that they can eat, foods that make it relatively easy to consume more energy than your body needs.0 -

Calorie goals are generally the same regardless of what foods you eat, your body needs more than nutrition, it needs fuel as well.
How many calories are you logging? What is your goal weight and current weight? Are you using a food scale?0 -

beans are pretty calorie dense- I can see how over eating them on top of other things would put you over the edge.

You managed to eat enough to need the app so add some of those foods in till you get to your calories.
Not everyone uses this app to lose weight4 -
Consider that the app monitors a minimum for general health. All that MFP is doing is pointing out the obvious.
If you aren’t eating enough you may need to build up your repertoire of acceptable foods.
How about adding a snack of dried fruits and nuts? This could be end of day or midday.1
