How much do you tweak your food diary?

Does being close to or not close enough to one of your limits dictate your food for the day?

I probably spend a good hour a day futzing with it..

Though sometimes it's out of boredom, or curiousity "what would happen if I ate a 42oz ribeye" lol

Nope -- if I still need 20g of protein and I'm 100 calories over, I'm still going to get that protein in. ;)

EDIT : But that barely happens ;D

I stay in my calories and eat healthy and balanced. Otherwise, I don't really pay much attention to the other numbers.

I do try to make sure I'm getting a lot of fiber.

First thing I look at is protein, I make sure I get at least 150g per day. Once that's in line, I fill in the blanks. Getting that much protein NEVER requires me to go over my calories. Once I have the protein squared away I just make sure I stay under my calories. Usually that means a lot of fruit and some healthy snacks. I tend to always go over with fats and fiber.

I watch all the numbers - particularly sugar grams. I try to keep those no higher than 15, and I try to eat my body weight in protein. (130) Sodium is important, too. I keep mine below 1800 each day. If you eat a lot of processed food, you might want to pay attention to that.

Yup, unlike seemingly every other poster here. I eat a good breakfast, healthy snacks, a good lunch, and when it's dinner time, if I have the time, and in the right place, and I haven't already blown the day, I'll look at what is left to meet my daily goal and try and hit the number.
