Nope, just the staff shirts at the school I work at (front: we are; back: a huge k (stands for Kelso) and a bunch of positive traits all inside the k). I used to live in Pennsylvania for 6 years, but I'm in Washington state now.

And again, thank you so much everyone for the amazing words of encouragement.

I started losing weight in the middle of August, so it's been about 6 months now. My tips would be to religiously weigh and record everything you intake, it all adds up quickly. And don't deny yourself foods you crave, that tends to end up leading to disaster; instead allow yourself to have it, just limit how much you have.

One more thing, if you know you're going to a restaurant (fast food or otherwise), look up their nutrition menu before you go there and decide what you're going to eat before leaving. It makes making healthy choices a lot easier. Not to mention most fast food joints will let you substitute their fries for a side garden salad for around 60 calories (without the dressing).

Your journey sounds so similar to mine. With any large amount of weight loss, there are plenty of ups and downs. We just have to keep sticking to it, no matter what. You have done an AMAZING JOB! Don't lose your nerve, we are all here to support you

Great job David. I'm astonished at the difference in such little time. Ironically I also work at a school and started my journey in August (the day of that solar eclipse to be exact) and as of last week am down 46 pounds. I'm estimating another 31 pounds to my goal of 140# but really need to see how I look as I get closer. I'm only 5'4" so not supposed to weigh much. Once I hit my goal it'll be a near 100 pound weight loss from my heaviest of 240#. I've tried losing weight before but always put most of the loss back on after quitting. I started in August at 218#.

Like you, I only wished I had done this sooner. If I had found this site 6 years ago when I started working at the school who knows where I'd be now. I definitely get my exercise here but still get some in at home plus weights.

BTW, how tall are you? You look pretty tall in the before pics.
