I take medication, of which I'm instructed to take before bedtime. As a side effect it makes me hungry, and I can't sleep when I'm hungry.

help?!?!

You need to find an eating pattern that works for you to keep you from feeling deprived while still keeping you in a deficit. Everything seems to point in another direction besides IF for that. Otherwise I have been doing IF for months now and the hardest part was developing the willpower to resist eating when I wasn't supposed to. After a few days it becomes easier and now it doesn't even bother me anymore until its in my eating window. Might be the same case for you. Tough it out until it gets easier

Move your meals around so that you eat before bed.

Eat before you go to bed? IF is just an eating schedule. It's not something magical. If it doesn't work for you, there's no particular reason to do it.

Though it is one of the bigger fads right now, so I get why you feel you need to try it, but that's not necessarily the case.
