Need help with finding no sodium (or very low sodium) dishes

Just learned that I have very high blood pressure and I need to cut out quite a bit of salt intake. Any help with recipes would be greatly appreciated.

    Do you drink a lot of water? Cutting sodium is let of it, but hydration can flush a lot of the excess sodium too.

    Any recipe made from scratch becomes low sodium by leaving out the salt. Garlic, olive oil, and herbs can be used to make up the flavor.

    Mrs Dash is a nice substitute for salt as well.

    Prepared foods will often have nearly your daily allowance in one serving. If you normally cook with canned goods, soy sauce or other high sodium condiments, try a few simple meals with roasted veggies, lean meat and, if you want a starch, rice or a roasted sweet potato.

    I switched to Himalayan Salt and I love it. It has only a fraction of the sodium as table salt and contains many natural minerals that help with bold pressure, toxins, and cleansing your system. Tastes great too.
    You shouldn't cut sodium completely out of your diet as you still need a certain amount per day (about 1000-1500 mg). Himalayan salt contains 425 mg of sodium per 1/4 tsp as opposed to the 2500 mg that exists in table salt. Using natural unprocessed salts sparingly helps control your intake and keeps you healthy.

    I use potassium salt. No-sodium broth is helpful as a base for soups and sauces. It needs to be refrigerated, though, and used quickly. Herbs, spices, mustards, and vinegars are all helpful seasonings as well. (For example, instead of bottled hot sauce try vinegar and cayenne pepper. Mustard, Truvia, and vinegar are nice on chicken and pork.)

    Also forgot to add that when I had high BP, cutting bread servings wayyyy down really helped.

    The dietitian said to not go below 800 mg of salt daily. I use a lot of fresh hot peppers. Also when making homemade soups, I use water many times instead of the salted broth. People can add salt if I serve it for someone else. Lemon and lime juice help a lot, too. Everyone could stand to go lower sodium even without the high blood pressure.

    Forgot to add that sugar-free maple syrup plus mustard makes a nice glaze as well, if you like that combo. Also, cheese was another change I made to help cut back on sodium. If you like it on sandwiches and burgers, a lot of brands are doing thinner slices these days.
