Okay so I'm new here. Hi, I'm Star  Anyway, I decided to go for a walk yesterday to get my cardio in. Usually I dance around the house like a fool lol! Well, halfway through my walk, I noticed my back was killing me!! Why would my back hurt so much from walking? I have a really high arch in case you need to know.

How old are your walking shoes? It may be time to get some new ones

Most likely the shoes. Especially if you are walking on hard pavement, you may need some extra shock absorption.

I think walking on pavement is much more difficult than a treadmill anyday..

Shoes or posture. Make sure you are standing tall, keeping your back in a correct posture.
  • hmm i didn't think about that. my shoes are pretty worn out. looks like i will be buying a new pair! thanks guys!!!
  • Believe it or not....stretching your hamstrings plays a big role in your lower back. Stretching different muscles contributes to fewer injuries elsewhere.
