Hello all! I absolutely love MyFitnessPal but now on WW Smart Points and wondering if there are any plans to offer the WW Points as opposed to calories on MFP? Anyone know? Can anyone recommend other ideas? Thanks! Alyx

I think there would have to be an agreement between MFP and Weight Watchers in order for points to be done. But I prefer counting calories on MFP as it's free.11

I don't think that would ever happen. WW points are proprietary and users pay to use the system. If they gave it away free no one would pay to use them, right?6

I'm gonna say no...1

There's a WW group that might be able to help you with the conversion. Or you can just log your points on WW, and log the actual calories on MFP.2

I'm doing both--I want to know # of calories in addition to points. Amazingly, I can have a 7 point breakfast that's 275-350 calories, and want to ensure I'm not picking the most caloric point options/2

If you're going to do WW, just do that. Use their app. Either method can work just fine, and duplicating your work will probably make burnout more likely.5

I followed WW in 2004 and lost 50 lbs. Kept it off for 5 years until I had medical reasons to take steroids amongst other pills that caused weight gain. I also had a baby in 2014. I went back to WW and due to financial restraints and no time for the meetings (which I truly believe helps 95% of the members), I started with MFP. I have NOTHING but great things to say about it. I get all the support I need and it's free! WW will not pair with MFP - agreed with mph323.3

I've never really understood the purpose of double logging? (As in logging points and calories)5

Agreed. Trying to track both calories and points is just a huge pain. And they don't match up anyway and WW only tracks certain foods so it's just better to stick with one program and just use that. Good luck w/WW - I've had success in the past but the latest program is SUPER restrictive.3 -
Thanks to all for your support! I'm sticking with logging on a free "Points app" not as good as the WW app but considering the cost of doing both meetings and the WW app I had to choose one over the other... and meetings definitely won! Be well, be great but mostly BE!0

WW won't even let people post the Smart Points of individual items on their forums in response to a query, they would sue the pants off MFP if they offered Points tracking.4

Guys on a Diet (GoaD) is a WW forum group on MFP. We moved here when WW closed their Community BBs to make way for Connect, the WW User social media platform.
Some GoaDies are double tracking SPs and calories MFP. I use WW to track my SPs.
FYI GoaDs are both guy/gals. All Welcome!0 -
I wonder how Skinnytaste gets around posting the Points values on recipes?0

You can use “iTrackBites” app. It’s was like $3 one time. It does all of the weight watchers points systems for free.3
