Not that I’m complaining...

Is it normal to lose seven pounds in your first four days? Water weight maybe?
Seriously, I’m not complaining - it just seems unusual. I’ve been sticking to the calorie recommendations - even went over last night due to my daughter-in-law’s homemade fried chicken and fresh green bean casserole.
Any thoughts or comments appreciated!

Yeah water weight, decrease in glycogen stores, less inherent waste in you system. It's not unusual at all in the beginning...1

Yarp water weight, after the first 14 or so days expect lower numbers and a steadier fat loss if you are counting correctly1

Thanks for the responses!
I'm at 9 lbs in 5 days. I guess the bigger you are the more water (%) you can lose. I'm grateful for the little oomph in the beginning.1
