Emeals anyone?

I am getting going and will be using emeals service to plan out my meals. I have tried the meals for a few days and enjoy them so now I'll couple it with tracking. Anyone using emeals?

I haven't, but I have considered using similar services. I figured out I didn't need them, that it's in fact a detour. But as long as you like the meals, it will work for you. Planning your meals yourself is in its essence very simple, and it's easy, too, if you just plan meals you like.0

I wish it were easy but right now life is hectic and after I get home late from work and have college classes I'm taking the last thing I want to try to do is plan meals. I don't see it as a detour but a tool to help me during a crazy time stay on track.0

I understand, but you're supposed to plan meals in advance, not as you're getting ready to cook.1

Please correct me if I am wrong.
Wasn't sure what this was so looked it up. Basically you are paying a small subscription for the app to work out how much of everything you need for a weeks worth of whatever recipes you choose. Then you send them your weeks choice and they deliver the foods you need to make the recipes.
They seem to use the usual food providers so you will be paying the normal prices plus usual delivery fee (if any applicable)
If that is correct then I think the main thing you will be benefitting from is saving the time it takes to troll through recipe books or online for all your meals and working out how much of everything you will need for all those recipes. It will also help you if you want particular meals e.g. Low calorie as they have a plan for this so as long as you stick to the recipes you won't have to work out the calories.
My conclusion is that it may well help you save time and help keep you on track. The only extra cost I could see was the monthly subscription of $5.
I think if this helps you stay on track then great and go for it as it is not going to cost an arm and a leg.
It is much better for you to eat nutritional food and keep to your calorie goals for a small price than to be throwing bucket loads of money at some fad/scam diet.
You still have to spend the time (initially) reading the recipe instructions and of course cooking the food but you will soon be able to put them together from memory after a while.
Unless I am missing something important I don't really see a downside for you. Go for it and enjoy.

Thanks and you are right that it's just a Time saver for how things are right now. The meals include nutritional info that's on track for what I need and it's saving some leg work for now. When my schedule frees up and I get into a rhythm with everything then I'll probably cancel but it's a great way for me to get going on my journey easily. Thanks for the support!0

I've used it in the past but not as a tool for weight loss. I'm not sure how much it's changed since then, but it was helpful for meal planning. I selected recipes and it generated a shopping list for me. I liked many of the recipes from it and there was a huge variety. I know when you're busy it can be helpful to have some of the work done for you.1

My Mom used a similar deal for a while for her and my Grandpa. She loved that she learned a few easy recipes and tricks for healthy cooking since she has always been a mediocre cook at best.1
