Dilemma

Ok, I have 1500 calories left for dinner, had a huge lunch, and I'm just not hungry,Do I eat just to eat? Pretty sure I will snack on something tonight after FD drill, but hardly 1500 cal worth? I know I shouldn't leave that big of a deficit left, knowing that drill tonight is going to be very labor intensive, laddering windows, breeching walls...etc.....it will be a bigger deficit at the end of the night! Any ideas??

Listen to your body....there are days where I have over 1000 calories left but not hungry...then there are those day I eat them all..hold off u might just be ready after drill0

i agree, let your body determine how many of those leftover cals you need/eat. don't eat them just because you feel that you have to! bring a couple snacks with you tonite, and go on again tomorrow )0

never not eat... if you are not hungry but are planning on working i would eat a balanced snack. like some almonds and some fruit. something light. i say mostly listen to your body. if you aren't hungry don't eat much but going long periods of time with out eating isn't good either. You need fuel to work. and you need food to burn fat.0

Try to have a few smaller snacks that include nuts, or natural nut butters (almond butter is great with some toast and jam). I would suggest a shake with some protein in it as well... bananas, and other fruits (like mangos) that are a little higher in calories, will help close that gap. And honestly, one night with a somewhat large deficit will not hurt you, in fact if the next day you're back on track, it might even help a little. It happens to me sometimes, and I've never had any issues.0

My advice is to use common sense and listen to your body. I gain about 800-1000 calories/day due to excercise and I try to eat in accordance with what I feel my body needs. I don't consciously eat to get rid off calories, but I also recognise that my body needs more than 1200 calories to fuel it. I don't eat when I am not hungry and I try to eat healthy options when I am. Subequently I am sometimes 1000 calories under for the day and other times just a few hundred, but I am losing the couple of kilos I am aiming to shed, and that is the goal0

So what are the good protein shakes out there....Believe you me, I hardly ever don't eat, :LOL Just wierd day today, know I'll be hungry after drill, but probably won't feel like a big meal at 10pm, put a conservative estimate in for tonight, and it took me to 1800+ calories left, I am have to start getting those protein shakes goin on days like this! Thanks for the replies so far!0

Peanut butter is an easy way to get your calories in, or even just nuts. I'm in a similar situation today - have hardly eaten over 1200 calories, but haven't added my exercise in yet either, so I'm about to have a cupful of almonds.0
