Hi anybody tried the 5:2 diet? I’m thinking of doing it, and wondering if anybody has had any success with it?

I'd rather eat normal seven days a week and not starve myself for two of them.

You might get more helpful responses in the Intermittent Fasting group in the group section.

    This.
At the end it doesn't matter which eating pattern you use, if weekly calorie consumption stays the same and within goal parameters.

Eating equal amounts daily is just simpler for most people.

I've done intermittent fasting for a year now. The only way you lose weight with it is if you don't overeat on your non-fast days. I don't do it for weight loss, I do it due to a range of GI issues and fasting has helped give my gut the break it requires. It's not for everyone but works for me to help with pain - some folks find it helps with weight loss simply because you are cutting calories on other days - it's not hard to eat back your deficit though so you need to be aware still.
