Starting my journey...again

Hello. I lost almost 90lbs in 2015, but, due so many changes in my life I gained almost all of it back. For one, I started working as a phone rep which had me sitting at the desk for hours, M-F. Then I got married in Sept 2017 and to bring in more income I worked more-which meant more sitting. Sigh. By the time my wedding came around I was thirty pounds heavier and had completely reverted back to my “snack diet” (no meals). Between being a mother of three, planning my wedding, and working I had no time to exercise. That paired with a poor diet = gaining 15 more pounds since my wedding. I have started back to being more conscious of my food choices and exercising but to be honest I am still a little discouraged. I worked so hard before and now I fear I will not be able to maintain with life’s changes. Any suggestions or tips would be much appreciated. TY in advance!

Right there with you in the weight gain arena. I lost 50 pounds in 2010 and felt great, looked great. But for whatever reason, I let snacks and bad habits creep back into and regained 30 pounds of it back. SO I know what worked for me before, MFP being one of the tools I used to be successful, so here I am back again. My mindset is not as concrete as it was in 2010, but just trying hard to get back on board logging every morsel I put in my mouth. You are not alone in facing challenges/opportunities along the way; just don't give up, even if you slip up; make good choices as much as you can, and don't beat yourself up along the way. Gotta keep trying!4

I am back here again too. At least now I know a lot more about what works for me, and hopefully I can spot the signs of my bad habits returning sooner rather than later!1

Yes. We are in the same boat. I know once I start getting back in a routine I will be fine but I’m not feeling as motivated as before and that worries me....thank you! You too can get back in track!0

That’s a good way of looking at it!0 -
I've been here before and have only lasted a week maybe two. I am about 100 pounds over weight and am on day 2 with MFP. This is the first time I'm communicating in the community so maybe that might help. Anyway, just trying it a day at a time and I'm letting the results take care of themselves...good luck everyone.1
