    I hope you reach your goal to lose 20 lbs. my goal Is to lose a 100lbs. This is an interesting app and I think if I use this app for what’s it good for I may succeed.

    How/why is food the hard thing, what is "it", and why are you just trying to stick to it?

    To lose weight, all you need is a calorie deficit over time. MFP has given you a calorie target that puts you in a calorie deficit. If you stick to that, for real, consistently, and for a long time, you lose weight. Just be aware that you can't lose very fast if 20 pounds is all you have to lose. If you have set your weekly weight loss rate to more than 1% of your body weight, go back and change it, and you get a new, higher, calorie target, that will be easier to stick to.
