Pain in Left Shin

I am a runner, about 30-35mpw. Yesterday, I gave a couch to a friend of mine. I helped carry it from my condo which didn't seem too strenuous at the time- no stairs. Later in the afternoon I went for a 6.5 mile run which is well within my comfort zone for distance. This morning, I woke up with what feels like shin splints in my left leg- left side of shin bone about 1/3 the distance from the knee- I suffered from them one summer during high school and I recognize the pain. I've never had issues with it again since (2001 or 2). The pain is non existent when I stand but is like a burning sensation when I don't have weight or pressure on the leg and comes and goes.
Other than carrying the couch, I have not done anything different in my routine- no new shoes, exercises, stretches, etc. What should I do? Today is a rest day from running, but I will be leaving on a work trip tomorrow and will be on my feet for long stretches until Thursday. I don't have time to visit a clinic so seeking a professional opinion is not an option for me today; I will if it's not better towards the end of the week.
Thanks.

Thanks. I had to run an errand today and noticed that every 10 minutes or so I would get pain for about 15 seconds and then it would go fade as quickly as it appeared. I did ice it for about 20 minutes earlier.0

I took two Tylenol this morning and was on my feet all day with no pain after the Tylenol. Including a 3.5M treadmill run, I have 19K steps for the day. I did feel discomfort this morning before the Tylenol while I was making breakfast.0
