I've heard some weigh in every other day, some people do it once a week or once a month... So how often do you weight in? And do you weigh in at the same time every day?

Every Saturday morning, before breakfast and after I've gone to the bathroom!

I weigh in every day. I like to see how my body fluctuates. It also helps to correlate that with food patterns. :)

I get out of bed, go to the restroom, strip, and step on the scale! I feel like it helps me stay in control the rest of the day.

Once a week. This way I don't stress too much over fluctuations or stalls.

I admit to being a bit addicted to the scales and weigh myself every morning, I would not advise this as your weight goes up and down on a daily basis and it can be disheartening if you gain a pound or two midweek but I don't seem to be able to resist.

However I only record my weight once a week, Monday morning before I eat and after the loo.

Once every 2 weeks... approximately. I don't own a scale and weigh in on a light food day prior to my workout at the gym.

Mornings once a week. Too often can get frustrating as your body can fluctuate day to day. That's what works for me.

I "officially" weigh in every Monday morning. But there are times during the week when I'm curious about where I could be. I say could because I'll do it during the middle of the day, late at night, and fully clothed so I know it's not my "real" weight.

Every Friday Morning. Helps me stayed focused for the weekend, when I am most likely to cheat. Sometimes Monday or Tuesday just to check in.

I weigh in every week. Usually the same day of the week and it's usually in the late evening. No stripping, just shoes off and on the scale.
  • Yea, once a week, every monday morning. before eating. unless its also a full moon that day. then no.

also the morning of the last day of the month, that's the one I actually log.

the weekly ones are only for feedback to keep me focused

I used to weigh in once a week, on Mondays, first thing in the morning, but I've decided that I'm not going to weigh myself for a month, so I weighed in August 1 and recorded all my measurements, and then I'll weigh in again and remeasure everything on September 1. I also recorded my bodyfat percentage, water percentage, and lean muscle mass. I find that I get really discouraged if I weigh more than once a week and I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised come September

Almost every day. It keeps me in check. In the past, if I had been bad, I would put off weighing because I just didn't want to see the higher number. Then a few days of not weighing would turn into a few weeks, and before I knew it, I'd gained a lot of weight. I know now that I need to weigh myself even if I think it's going to be higher. Not knowing is not a good thing for me.

Once a week. Keeps me from freaking out unnecessarily ( like I did this week when I weighed in multiple times a week).

I weigh in twice a week, first thing in the morning after the shower and going the bathroom. I weigh in on Mondays and Thursdays because it keeps me more "aware" on the weekend--which is my weak time.

Good luck on your weight loss journey!

I weigh in every day in the morning and a night
I only record Monday nights though

so weigh twice a day, track once a week :)
  • Usually every 3 weeks or so in the morning after going to the bathroom and naked,lol...but I am in an August Challenge so I have to weigh in every Sunday.
  • Everyday. I skip sometimes but I know my body well and I have gotten to the point where I can guess what I will weigh based on my diet the day before. I don't sweat the small stuff. I know alot of people say not to weigh in daily but I know I can go up a couple pounds in a day and I can lose a couple pounds in a day. I don't let it stress me out. ;)

I'm addicted - I weight myself every morning when I wake up and I weight myself at the gym, though I go to the gym at different times of the day. I have been known to weigh again after I use the bathroom. Full disclosure

It's funny................ I weigh first thing in the a.m., limited amt. of clothing, no jewelry, slippers, hair ties, anything that my add a smidge of poundage. My husband.......... oh, I think I'll way myself and steps on the scale fully clothed, with his shoes on usually holding and eating a bowl of cereal. Sheesh!!!!

When I was really successful I was a daily weigher; get out of bed, go to the bathroom, then get on the scale close to if not totally naked. Kept me accountable. I know they say it isn't good, but when I get away from the scale I get into trouble! It's a very personal decision.

One thing, is that *for now* the loss should be pretty steady and quick (it will change as you get closer) so it might be fun to watch the scale creep down.

IDK, it's a very individual thing.
