Chocoholic in need of a fitness pal

Hi all, new to this! looking for a fitness pal to track and compare! Need motivation. Tried slimming world but my weight loss has been slow due to me being a 'crap' dieter!! Determined to drop a dress size for my friends wedding in June - my dress is a 10 and I am currently in a 12.

Your weight loss isn't slow because you're a crap dieter, it's slow because you haven't much to lose.

If you're only needing to shift 14lbs, you can expect to average around 0.5-1lb per week loss.

You already have your motivation - the dress, now you just need habits and consistency.

Stop thinking DIET mentality, start thinking small changes you can sustain to keep yourself to a sensible calorie deficit and if you're not already doing some, throw some strength training into your routine too, it can help a lot with body composition.

Compare on comparable terms, as tinkerbell said. Motivation isn't some magic powder, it's just your own personal "want this more than that". Chocoholism isn't really a thing, chocolate tastes great, but it becomes irrestisible if we tell ourself it's bad.

Your so close to your goal already which is great!
And your motivation is the dress. You can totally do this!

Let me know if you want to buddy up for some motivation and generally to keep on track.
I have at least 3 stone to lose so I have a lot further to go. Started out last week and lost 4.8lbs so looking forward to the future just week by week.

Hey Natalie, I know Chocolate rocks! I have 3 little kiddies and they eat whatever they want and it’s so unfair as it just goes straight thru them but with me it’s to my butt, thighs and stomach that’s my worsts... Hopefully we can all achieve our goals together x

I have 3 year old twins, a 5 year old and a 12 year old and I have always been a nightmare for picking at what they have or eating what they don't want lol! I have a biscuit draw in the fridge also, very deadly!!!! I have to shift the extra weight gain though, I am determined to now. xx

I love chocolate! Even if I'm full, I feel like I just NEED a bit of chocolate at the end of each meal. Moderation doesn't work for me when it comes to sweets. I read an article about a guy who lost 40 pounds by cutting back to one cookie a day (he was eating an entire package). The only way to do this is logging. Add me if you like.

I have eaten a chocolate bar most days throughout my weight loss, I tend to prefer Chocolate protein bars these days to fit my macros, but now and again I'll have maltesers or a kitkat.

I'm on board. I eat mostly healthy and I don't mind eating chocolate, I can just consider it food. But, it REALLY affects my sleep (so does caffeine)!

I'm encouraged to find a balance with it and hear other people's perspectives.

    Look forward to exchanging ideas!
