I see a lot of IG fitness guru s only doing a glute day. Should I also add in a leg day?

Wait? What? IG glute girls are now "fitness gurus"? No, you need a real program not something from an IG "celeb" who is only interested in getting followers and likes.

X's 100. More of often than not, those videos are just to attractive views and new followers. Follow an actual program that fits your experience level.

Yea definitely wouldn't take any glute training advice from Instagram unless it is a trusted source like Bret Contreras for example.

Another vote for following a program. Doing a bunch of glute stuff won't get you as far as proper programming will.

This. Although, I tried Bret’s frog pumps the other day (done with my lifts had some spare time..) haha and that was interesting to say the least. I do love him but sometimes my execution isn’t the best. :D

Train based on your goals. With so little information to go on, I'll make an extremely general recommendation - check out Strong Curves.

    I'll check this out

I've been following sarah_bowmar on ig. She seems legitimate, but I did notice she does a lot of glute and not so much quad. I actually asked her about it and she responded with her latest post saying she doesn't want to build quads...

I just checked her out, and she has already build a very significant muscle base. I would not compare to her and do what she does right now. her programming is going to be sprinkles on a sundae at this point.

    My thoughts as well.

Dwayne Johnson may have similar goals to me... but there's no way his training should have any bearing on mine. We are at completely different points in our lifting careers (among other reasons).

Lift for yourself, based on yourself, by yourself.

Exactly...she is legit, but you can't really follow what an advanced lifter is doing as a novice. I'd be curious about her (and her husbands) on-line training programs...they look pricey.

At this point she's built her base and is working on very specific areas it would seem.

Don't rely on IG as a great source of info. Many people don't realize that genetics really make a difference on how one's body looks.

Ugh, she is the WORST. Srs, google "Sarah Bowmar reviews" and see what comes up.

Also, she was once a competitor. I'm sure at one time she was on a program of some sort that was very glute specific.

Nope. Just glutes. Zero upper body work.
Then you'll fit on IG just nicely

If you can, ask a professional trainer, I recently got a new routine with mine and man it's really hard but he adjusts to all levels and experience, he also is training my mom who clearly does different things. :)

Follow a program. Being developed/having musculature honestly means nothing.

Take Ryan Spiteri on IG. Sure he’s got a following, is quite developed, has online programs, but unless you take steroids you’ll never look like him. He competes in untested bodybuilding competitions, so no matter what he tells you or workouts he does, they will not benefit you anywhere near as much as they benefit him.

Programs are supposed to be tailored to you
