365 Days ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
Being who I am, I Googled the results of this diagnosis and was terrified.

I decided I had had enough!

Things had to change.

7 months later I gave that diabetes back!
( I figured the Dr. must have given it to me since I didn't have it when I went IN to see her...LOL)

Now, I'm 120lbs lighter, and still going.

I feel great. I had not realized how much I had slowed down, until I started getting my energy back.

I've concluded I'm going to always be a tad bit hungry, and a tad bit sore, but it's worth it.

I've gotten my life back.

Really well done, you look great.

I think a LOT of people are going to be getting a pre-diabetes or diabetes diagnosis in the next decade and hopefully most of them react like you did. The problem is that some doctors make it sound like insulin resistance is this totally irreversible thing, which simply isn't true, as you've shown. Anyway, fantastic job.

Congratulations! So many people our age think it’s impossible to ever feel good again, let alone look good. Boy you sure prove that thinking wrong!

THank you for your story. I have just begun my journey of 100 pds to lose and am
In great need of inspiration. Would you consider being an accountability or simply friend to check in with on this journey ?

I am so inspired by you! I too was told that I have diabetes about one and a half years ago and I wish I had jumped on the wagon and started taking control like you did. After hearing that you did it, I feel that I would be able to do it too. Thank you for your post, I want to give that diabetes back to wherever it came from.

You look amazing! Congratulations for sticking it out and adjusting to your new normal so well. Although there can be aches and pains from working out, etc., just think of the pain you've avoided by losing the excess weight! You are an inspiration!
