Happy surprises when weighing/measuring food

So, I was scared to start weighing and measuring my food because I thought that I would be left eating hardly anything. We all know that weighing and measuring is a PITA and that one ounce of cheese or nuts is not that impressive looking, but I’ve also noticed some pleasant surprises as I’ve been weighing and measuring my food for the last month:

2oz of deli meat makes a thick sandwich, it’s a lot of meat!
1 cup of cooked jasmine rice or pasta fills up my bowl nicely
1/2 tablespoon of butter is plenty
1/2 cup of ice cream isn’t so bad
That handful of chocolate chips? Only 16 chips if you count them, and that’s 80 cal
1 oz of tortilla chips is pretty generous
1 cup of yogurt is way more than I can eat

Focusing on stuff like this helps me stay positive and not feel so deprived.

What pleasant surprises have you guys come across?

I try to cap my snacky indulgences at 200 calories most of the time. 200 calories of popcorn is a lot!

I guessed low a lot of times. When I got a food scale I got to eat more than my guesses.

Rotisserie chicken. 3oz looks like a mound but then a 3oz chicken breast looks so small?
