    I've been considering having a 441 calorie treat of a 3.29 oz Snickers bar I pass each day as it sits beckoning to me from the vending machine behind that $2.00 price tag.

    I've noticed that when I think about something like that for so long, I usually fly off the rails and have a high calorie excursion.

    Today before noon I got an email from the boss informing that "treats" were here. After a few minutes of resistance, I yielded and went around the corner to see what was on offer.

    Donuts, cakes, pastries, oh my.

    I seized a donut.

    I logged a donut.

    I logged my planned supper.

    What do you know? I had room for a piece of cake, too.

    It's 5:00 pm, and I feel as if I'm on track to maintain my calorie deficit today despite the temptations. That's worthy of a smile from me.
