Coffee Club
Just wanted to start a thread, anyone welcome to hop in or just follow along.
I am usually on here in the mornings and again at night just to close out the entries.
I am not really a morning person which is why I need or should I say I HAVE to have my morning coffee. I drink 100% columbian. I would prefer whole bean ground up but most mornings that is just too much work.
I do most all my workouts in the morning as it is easier to do them before the day begins and the procrastination begins.
For today, I ran a 5k, I think its becoming my tuesday workout. The scale was also nice, down 2.2 pounds since last weigh in, so, all in all, the day off to a good start.
Have a great day.

Not a coffe drinker (gave up all caffiene almost 18 months ago) but I am training to be a runner...hoping to do my first 5K this fall! congrats on the loss!0

I LOVE COFFEE ... and I am on board with any coffee lovers I have a section of my kitchen dedicated to my coffee, a coffee pot, my K cups, Tea, creamers, coffee grinder, hot choc. maker, and now I would love a frappe machine so I could make my own frappes that are not a total of 9000 calories . Have a great day but always begin with coffee.0

Mmmm coffee. The good thing is I only drink about 1 1/2 cups a day in the a.m. Every now and then I will drink some at a random time of the day or night but it's unusual.
I love colombian coffee. Right now, I'm drinking 100% colombian coffee that my sister brought me from Colombia! SO GOOD. Sadly, today is my last cup of it as I'm out.0 -
I am not a morning person. Which is why I can't really do my workouts early in the AM. But I work from home a lot, so I have been doing my skating in the morning. Just not super early. My boss is three time zones behind so he doesn't mind if I start my day a bit late.
Speaking of coffee...I haven't had mine yet. The minute I sat down, my dog hopped into my lap. I haven't had the heart to kick him off yet so I could go make the stuff.0 -
Decaf for me Puhlease!
I also do my work outs in the morning. Just makes life easier for me. I seem to get a tad bit more enegy for the day as well. Congrats on the weight loss!!0 -
Coffee, coffee, coffee..... I LOVE COFFEE. Even my 6 year old knows how to work the Kuerig. My calorie conundrum lies in the fact that I just can't bring myself to drink it black. I've weaned myself off the sugar, but I love my flavored cream. Any tasty low cal options that anyone can recommend? I've gone to subbing half the cream I would normally use with skim milk, and that's keeping me satisfied and happy. Back to work and sipping my poison.... )0

for me, there's no life before coffee. I could skip breakfast but not coffee, unless I want to be grumpy for the rest of the day lol.0

Mmm, coffee. My husband thinks I am addicted to the caffeine in it, but truly I just love the taste and always have. A good cup of expresso is just as decadent as a chocolate bar, but with NO calories. Did I already say yum? I don't need it to get started in the morning, but I do use it as a treat after my morning workouts.
This morning I also ran a 5k (plus a little. I think it turned out to be 3.8 miles plus warm up and cool down.) I think we can be friends.0 -
Love my coffee too and am going for my second cup! I like my coffee in the morning and pretty much any other time of day after that but before 5pm with just a little skim milk please.
I workout in the morning then shower, eat breakfast and enjoy my coffee afterwards. I occasionally after work too but that's rare. There is usually too much going on after work to squeeze any more exercise in. I'm busy chasing my kids around and playing with them so does that count as exercise? I don't see playing with your kids as an option on here to choose from under the exercise section tab!?! Speaking of kids, I never even drank coffee until I had kids. I guess the little energy boost helps when you're still tired from the night before. Love it.0 -
I am totally addicted to my morning coffee. Last summer, my husband and I were visiting a friend who doesn't drink coffee. I got one serious headache and was a total b*tch because there was no coffee... The only time I don't drink coffee in the morning is when I workout first thing on the weekend. However, I will eventually have atleast one cup of coffee later in day.0

Definately a coffee drinker and not much of a morning person. I drink at least a cup in the morning. If I work out early, I drink that cup after my workout. I love my coffee and won't give it completely up.0

Love my coffee! We just talked our bosses into getting us a Keurig machine. lol I have 2 cups a day while at work, occasionally 3, but each of my cups only has 50 cals in it. I also LOVE the iced coffee from mcdonalds - on a hazelnut kick right now. Normally have one of those a day too.
Typing this out, seems like a lot of coffee, but as long as I allot the calories for it, it's all good! :drinker:0 -
I love my coffee the same way I love my men: strong and dark! Truthfully, I limit myself to two cups in the morning, with an occasional afternoon indulgence if I need a boost. I think of it as a morning "work out " for my body (brain boost, blood pumping ...). Decaf has its place, but not in my house.0

Welcome everyone, I think it's clear, we all love our coffee and it helps get the day going in the right direction.0

Good morning coffee drinkers one and all. Waking up in Iowa this morning to 55 degrees. I say brrr, not quite ready for the cool and eventually cold weather. The good part about cooler weather, it sure makes the coffee that much better.
I was going to go out for a walk/run and started putting on all the longer sleeves and decided at the last minute just to stay in shorts and use the elliptical. Oh well, got the work out in.
How is everyone else doing? It's wednesday, for most of us, we are at the half way point of the work week. Let the count down begin towards Friday.
Make it a good day everyone.0 -
Good afternoon! It was certainly cold up here today, hubby closed all the doors and windows and turned on the heat! And yes, the coffee is better when cold and rainy. I was so tired last night I fell asleep on the couch, that 30DS is a killer! I haven't been eating my exercise cals (nutritionist said not to), but I had my first "hunger attack", so I ate. I guess that's what every calls "zig-zagging" calories. Well, I picked blackberries this morning for 3 hours (33 pints), ate so many it made me ill to think of eating any more. Gotta exercise and I see a book / nap in my future. Have a great day everyone!0

The coffee really tasted good this morning, so good, I skipped doing any working out. Several hours later, I wish I would've at least hopped on the treadmill but what do you do at this point.
I think I will go out for a run tomorrow, supposed to be a little warmer which is good because I just don't like running as much when I have to wear long sleeves.
It's almost Friday, one more day to go, it sure has been a long week. I know we can get through it.
Hope everyone goes out and makes it a good day.0 -
First, congratulations on your weight loss and exercise routine! Coffee is one of the two vices I have left (the other being chocolate of course!). I will keep drinking it until my doctor suggests otherwise...and then I will have to really think hard about it! I love all types of coffee and have a Keurig machine now as my husband, daughter and I like different blends.0
-
On my second cup this morning, thinking I need a third cup to get me motivated - Jillian Michaels is kicking my *kitten*! I felt really good yesterday, so I did level 1 back to back for 50 minutes! **stupid, I know that now** Thank God for coffee!!! Have a great day everyone.0
-
Ah, so happy to find people that share my vice0

Coffee snob here! I have had Gevalia whole bean coffees delivered for years. I use it in my Keurig in the My K cup thing as well as in an espresso maker. I have even turned my boyfriend to the dark side...he used to drink the stuff pre ground in the cans, now he won't touch it! My first couple cups in the morning have got to have half and half in them, but if I have any more later in the day it is black. GOOD coffee can be drank black, that stuff in the cans is just nasty. Coffee with real cream is the one thing I will NOT give up! I make a better cappuccino/latte than any coffee shop in town.0
-
The best coffee I had was in Brazil, some local roast. I do know that coffee here in America is nothing like over in Europe - they have the good stuff over there.0
-
i to love coffee and need to have creamer in it so I try hard not to have more than a cup or two....but would and could drink it all day long.0
-
I'm totally addicted to coffee! I used to drink a whole pot of it everyday. I've cut back to half. I'm not ready to face the world until I've had that first cup of ambition.0
-
Good morning and Happy Friday coffee adicts alike. How is everyone? It's Friday and we all have our favorite cup of joe, can it get much better. I had some coffee, went out for a nice 5k run and then came back for some more delicious columbian coffee. I am ready to have a great day.0
-
Good Morning people! I had two cups of java this morning, did L1 - D5 of 30DS, ten minutes on the bike and I am enjoying my third cup for an additional boost (after about a gallon of water). I have a wedding cake and food for 75 to prepare for tomorrow night, so I'll be drinking more coffee than usual today and tomorrow. Have a fab Friday.0
-
Stat, after I finished that, I might want something else besides coffee but thats a totally different thread. Have a great weekend!!0
-
LOL Some pain meds and three beers helped see me through the day! Damn, what a crazy day! More people than expected arrived, the buffet table was about 75 feet from the kitchen UPHILL. After three days of cooking, I was literally running up the hill with heavy platters balanced in each hand, and today I can barely lift my arms. *groan* No amount of coffee has gotten me up off my butt today! But I missed my workout yesterday, and I HAVE to do it today. It's mind over matter ... I do mind, cuz it does matter. Ok Jillian Michaels, here I come.0
-
Cold / rain + hot coffee = a good start to the day!0
