I've been enjoying this for a while now and now have it more regularly. To make it, I slice fresh ginger (about 2 cubic inches), add 3" cinnamon stick, a spritz of ground black pepper, and 1 sliced
clove of garlic to 4 cups of water. I microwave that to boiling point, then I take it out of the microwave and add 2 bags of green tea and allow that to steep for 5 minutes before pouring it into a thermos bottle (if I am taking it on the road or to work) and adding some whole milk.
Try it if you're looking for something warm, soothing and mildly sweet and spicy.

Do you strain it or put the garlic and everything in your thermos?

I must have blacked that out subconsciously.

Each to their own I suppose but if I was looking for sweet, soothing and spicy I'd probably go for chai or a Lemon and Ginger tea with a bit of honey. I can't even imagine milk in green tea!

I've had green tea lattes which weren't bad. But I find chai lattes much better!

I hear you. On another note, what about Starbucks matcha/green tea latte?
