Ginger-Cinnamon-Garlic Green Tea

I've been enjoying this for a while now and now have it more regularly. To make it, I slice fresh ginger (about 2 cubic inches), add 3" cinnamon stick, a spritz of ground black pepper, and 1 sliced
clove of garlic to 4 cups of water. I microwave that to boiling point, then I take it out of the microwave and add 2 bags of green tea and allow that to steep for 5 minutes before pouring it into a thermos bottle (if I am taking it on the road or to work) and adding some whole milk.
Try it if you're looking for something warm, soothing and mildly sweet and spicy.

I must have blacked that out subconsciously.1 -
Each to their own I suppose but if I was looking for sweet, soothing and spicy I'd probably go for chai or a Lemon and Ginger tea with a bit of honey. I can't even imagine milk in green tea!2
