Pressing the restart button?

Been struggling....I'll spare the details....but hoping to press the restart button....any suggestions to restarting and refocusing?

I'm headed to see a nutrition specialist tomorrow.....hoping to get some help with my nutrition goals....looking for how others have been able to refocus and find success.

Thanks.....

I found the restart quite unproblematic - set up MFP with my goals, weigh and log what I ate or planned to eat, aim to hit calorie target, monitor my weight.

Focus you either have or don't have, it's an internal thing.

However, you can watch motivational Youtube channels (Obese to Beast, Danny Gets Git, etc. ) , create a Pinterest board with motivational quotes, make a dope playlist to motivate you to exercise, etc.

I guess I will be the different opinion. I think some days it is easier to focus than others. I am generally pretty goal-oriented and can stick to my plans and goals, but other days it is hard because of stress, or emotions. My only advice is to look at each day as an opportunity for victory. Celebrate those days when you are able to stick to your plan. And? On the days you don't? Celebrate the next day when you are able to get back on track. Remember that one tough day does not mean the rest of the week/month/year has to be tough.

Good for you for seeing a nutritionist. I bet that will be a big motivator!

I'm also pressing the reset button.... life has been extremely stressful and I just need to focus on my goals again!

Yeah...if I could wish to be OCD on one thing in life it would be my food and exercise....but that's not the case so I have to create the environment in which I can hyper-focus on them and not let other things get in the way....but....things do get in the way, naturally.

Thanks for all who chimed in....any other thoughts or ideas from anyone else are always welcome.

I'm all prepared for the nutritionist meeting....we'll see what they have to offer for insight.

I'm starting over too. I need accountability partners. I've been seeing a nutritionist. I am considering Bariatric surgery as a last resort. I need to lose 100 pounds, but I thought I'd try this one more time.

starting over as well. my weight has been a yo-yo my whole life and I cannot remember a time I didn't feel the need to lose weight. I recently had success with a few months on weight watchers but their plan changed and I got frustrated. I'm finally realizing I am the only one who can make this work. So here I am! I have 60 lbs to lose.
