I obtained this app because my weight was making me feel very uncomfortable. I'm also trying to control my cigs. Using myfitnesspal makes me very aware of what, where and why I eat and smoke. I think I knew, but this is really making it real. I eat and smoke when I am bored, which is often. It is bringing home the reality of my lifestyle and I am making a very concerted effort to change.

  • Hello Sue! I am Nicole. You can add me for motivation if you want. It takes 2 weeks to form a habit. Once you do this it will become the normal for you. You can do this. Good luck and if you need anything just pm me. I need motivation and sometimes just someone to talk to .

    Hello Sue I’m Deb. I have been doing myfitnesspal for several months and really like it. It can be quite an eye opener when you put in everything that you eat each meal. While I have seen some great results I am in desperate need of new motivation. I have started looking at the community boards and would like to make some friends. That part of the app is all new to me, but feel free to add me as a friend. Good luck to you!

    Hi all-
    Thanks for the replies. I have only been here for less than a month. I'm really getting into the groove. I am here everyday. it helps a lot. I have become very conscous of what and how much I eat. I'm using so much restraint when I go to the supermarket, I can't eat junk food if it is not in the house.But oooh I am so tempted. Haven't got on the scale yet, I started at 205lbs.
