I'm making a recipe that my dad gave me.....not sure if he made it up or just heard it somewhere but he just kind of wings it so I have no idea how much a serving size is or how many servings there are.
It is made in a crockpot, it's one ring of beef smoked sausage cut up, four medium potatoes chopped, a can of green beans (with liquid) and a can of water. I know I can enter the ingredients on the sparks page to figure out the calories, but does anyone know how to figure out how many servings or what a serving size would be?

i would divide it into eaqual servings that look about right. use that as a start. if it's too high (calorie wise) then sut the serving in half. does that make any sense0

what i do for my recipes are total the calories. then I figure out how much I typically eat as compared to how many there are. so when I make cookies, if I make 12 and eat 3 then I would say their are 4 servings and divide the total calories by 4. this way it is based upon how much of it you eat not what you are suppose to eat.0

I would look at how much is a serving of that sausage usually 2oz which is very small like 4-6 diced pieces and then have 1/2 cup of the stock with potato & veggies0
